About CUET 2023
Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is an all-India examination to be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admissions in undergraduate and postgraduate courses in various central, state, & many other universities of India including Guru Ghansidas University (GGU / GGV) , Delhi University, BHU, Allahabad University, Tezpur University, the University of Hyderabad amongst others.

Now, it is essential for all aspirants to know the CUET marking scheme & exam pattern so that they can start preparing early and with an effective strategy to ace their CUET exam preparation. The exam will be held online as a CBT (Computer Based Test) and in two shifts (Morning & Afternoon). The duration of the exam will be 3 hours 15 minutes (for the morning shift) or 3 hours 45 minutes (for the afternoon shift). Students are expected to write at least one paper in both shifts. One of the most important things to help yourself with your CUET Exam Preparation is thoroughly going through the syllabus and understanding the CUET marking scheme & exam pattern.
The three sections are as follows:
- Section IA: Languages (13 Language) - (40 Questions to be attempted out of 50)
- Section IB: Languages (19 Language) - (40 Questions to be attempted out of 50)
- Section II: Domain-Specific (27 Subjects) - (40 Questions to be attempted out of 50)
- Section III: General Test (60 Questions to be attempted out of 75)
CUET Marking Scheme
The CUET marking scheme is very straightforward and simple, for every correct answer, you will be awarded 5 marks, and for every incorrect answer, there will be a negative marking of 1 mark. However, there will be no negative marks for the unattempted questions.
